Lotto Fun

I keep seeing these adds for the California Lottery (or some lottery--who cares) where they show people enjoying their winnings by doing extravagant things: renting out a major league baseball stadium to hold a party, hiring a snow machine so the kids can wake up to frosted windows, etc.

I realize these ads are selling wish fulfillment, but even for a winner, are these the stupid things people want to do?
