As Sung By The Old Christy Minstrels

Stephen Foster, Father Of American Music, was born, fittingly, on July 4th. There aren't many composers of popular song from the 19th century whose tunes we still remember. But who hasn't heard of "Old Folks At Home" (aka "Swanee River"), "Oh! Susanna," "Beautiful Dreamer," "Jeanie With The Light Brown Hair," "My Old Kentucky Home" or "Camptown Races."
