And if you recognize it not as random spewing, but as something you disagree with, then why not state the disagreement? Of course in the latter case you've preemptively blocked yourself, since you started out with insincerity. If you haven't bothered to read the Noonan piece--which of course is eminently rational--then why engage on this?
