Early Season Thoughts

Frankie Rodriguez got the win for the Mets tonight after blowing the save. I think that scoring rule has to be changed so that someone who blows a save is ineligible for the win, and it goes to whoever was most effective according to the judgment of the official scorer (like when nobody goes 5 innings). Rewarding folks for performances that you're simultaneously marking as failed is silly.

On another note, if that first baseman up in the Bronx is going to hit like this all month he's my immediate favorite for AL MVP. He normally puts up amazing full season numbers while hitting like a pitcher for all of April.
