Happy birthday, Mary Hopkin.  Signed to the Beatles' Apple Records, she recorded the first single the label put out--"Those Were The Days," a worldwide hit.  My favorite song she did was written for her by Paul McCartney:



There's a very nice demo by Paul.  Some people decided to give it the proper backing. (Apparently they've been taking bits and pieces of Beatle stuff and giving them the full treatment.)
