"You couldn’t have a starker contrast between the multiple layers of checks and balances [at ‘60 Minutes’] and a guy sitting in his living room in his pajamas writing.”
It's hard to imagine how much teasing he must have taken in school. Especially since he was in school during the heydey of the "I wish I were an Oscar Meyer wiener" commercials.
Maybe Weiner will get a job as an anti-bullying spokesman! That would be a brilliant move, because he could then be less remembered for the scandal and more remembered for the psychological "explanation" of the scandal!
(Note that commercials today don't use the word "wiener" for hot dogs anymore. Nor do they use the subjunctive. I mourn for the English language....)
Sorry- can't leave- Several years ago we had an intern with the name and we all went out after work in a coastal city one night when the city's gay pride parade was going on so drag queens were in evidence and also a US Navy ship was in port and sailors were all over the place.
It seemed hilarious at the time to call him Seaman Wiener all night. Ah youth. I wonder if he went into politics too?

Good one, Beavis
It's impossible to create a headline with Weiner that doesn't have a double meaning.

from the BBC
hehehehe
(Just how did they get infected? hmm.)
I think he should be a DJ or run an escort service for the high-politically-minded under the nom de plume "the Party Wiener"
