There Will Be Blood
On the latest edition of "As the GOP Turns", we hear Sarah call Rick a Crony, Michele chimes in and then goes Overboard, Mitt takes the opportunity to Pile on, and Newt says that Sarah gave a very fine Speech.
Meanwhile, the Blogosphere jumps into the fray. Bryan Preston defends Rick against Michelle and Sarah. Michelle Malkin punches back twice as hard while Ace says "Et Tu, Sarah?"
And out in the hall, Jennifer Rubin is crying "Is this it? Is this the best we've got? Jeb? Chris? Anybody?" Clears her throat. "I mean, anybody but you, Sarah."
I think I'm going to have to stock up on popcorn.

It doesn't matter. It's down to Rick and Mitt. I don't see anyone jumping in at the last second.
Its Mitt. Whatever his shortcomings (and they haven't changed in four years) he is the only non-cartoon candidate. He appears as a centrist and cool non0ideologue (despite his lame attempt to be an ideologue in 08) appealing to the non-screachers in the middle and will play up the business career he had back in the last century to make himself seem more of a technician.
Anything can happen in the general if the true believers get angry enough to run their own candidate or the economy heats up a little.
Prediction in the summer and perhaps fall of 2012, there will still be speculation about Palin launching an independent bid.
Romney is the best bet for the Republicans. He is not exciting, but this year the Republican base doesn't need someone to excite them into voting. The down economy will inspire Republicans and Independents to get out and vote for anybody but BO.
Also, it's his turn (he came in second in 2008).
Sure, it's Mitt.
Sorry, Guys. McCain killed the Mittster. Or Mitt killed the Mittster. No one believes there is any difference in his health care plan and Obama's. To campaign as high principle on the idea that there is such a difference? Nonsense. You are so far behind the voting public as to be lost.
