What Great Band Starts With B-E-A? No, Not Them. Not Them, Either

Happy birthday, Sal Valentino.  Who's he, you ask?  Lead singer for the Beau Brummels.  Who are they?  A rock band that had a few hits in 1965 and then pretty much disappeared from the charts.

Their biggest hit was "Just A Little":

But I think their best song was "Laugh, Laugh."  The performed a version on The Flintstones as the Beau Brummelstones. (No one was trying too hard when they came up with that name.  Were they just frustrated because the Rolling Stones refused to appear?):

Beau Brummel and Beau Bridges- confused them for ages. I think it had to do with a late night movie I once watched as a wee lad with my insomniac grandparents where Beau was cast a young dandy among the convicts settling Australia.

There is an old dusty men's haberdashery (love that word) store in the the shopping district of a town I used to live in named "Beau Brummel" with the silhouette of a top-hatted fop. I gave it no mind as I walked by it everyday and never gave it a notice except a stray fleeting thought wow Lloyd taught his kids early about licensing.

Shinrock is a parody of Shindig. You'd think they could have used something with "dig" to make a different pun.
