Happy birthday, Ellie Greenwich. One of the great songwriters of the Brill Building era, she left us a few years ago, but her songs will never die.

Saw her at the Bottom Line in the first incarnation of her revue Leader of the Pack, with Paul Shaffer as Phil Spector. Can't believe that was almost 30 years ago.
