Not The Comedian, Not The Wendy's Guy

Happy birthday, David Clayton-Thomas.  He was the lead singer of Blood, Sweat & Tears, a fairly popular big rock band in the late 60s/early 70s.  His gritty voice gave them a distinctive sound.

Here are their three biggest hits--they all went to #2.  Couldn't quite manage a #1.  The band is not a big favorite of mine, but they have a special place in my heart since "Spinning Wheel" was the first pop song I remember learning on guitar.

Embarrassed but have confused them both with 3 Dog Night & (apparently) Bachman-Turner Overdrive. Gravelly-voiced guys get no respect
