Shattered

William Shatner turns 85 today.  Should be a national holiday. No, he's Canadian--an international holiday.  No, he's Captain Kirk--a galactic holiday.

I guessed right. BTW my second choices were Chico Marx, Karl Malden and Andrew Lloyd Webber (ah hell Louis Lamour too)- all fine and important artists but not quite the "big" that you indicated.

Thanks for posting Rocket Man too- I'll admit to watching that on Youtube whenever I need to be perked up.

I've given tribute to Chico Marx before so thought I'd try something different.

Malden is worth mentioning, but the time to do it was his centennial.

It is quite a coincidence that the two biggest composers in musicals--SS and ALW--were born on the same day, but if I have to post about only one, it'll be Sondheim every time.
