I can see how it's pointless, but why call it boring? It's short, easy to read, and fun.
Umm "...being entertaining and catering to the crowd" is what the most successful politicians do and is a big reason why they get heard. Contrary to CG, there is a definite point to this article- its that Prof Ilya does not think voters should listen to people he thinks are stupid and ill-informed. I would tend to agree but only if I were the one judging what class of people that included (probably would include many entertainers and plenty of folks from other fields as well).I will agree with CG that it was boring though. Patricia Arquette would have held my interest longer
He doesn't say they're stupid and ill-informed (though most entertainers are), just that they have no special expertise, and so deserve no more attention than someone you pass on the street.
