Milo's predecessor

Did not know Nat Hentoff was 91. (Warning, links to a subversive and low quality newspaper.) Too many good writers at the top of that curve, too few at the bottom. Give them Hell, Mr. Hentoff.

Hentoff was a well-known music writer, especially on jazz, as far back as the 50s. With his regular column in The Village Voice (and elsewhere) he became better known as a political writer.

Left or right, he was one of the great defenders of the First Amendment. There's really no other voice like him.
