I was looking at some houses for sale on the internet. The first thing I check is bedrooms and bathrooms.
I saw one nice-looking place that announced it had 4 bedrooms and 2.1 baths.
2.1 baths? I'd love to know what .1 of a bathroom looks like.
The place is apparently in foreclosure. My guess is that .1 of a bathroom has something to do with it.

Me (realizing all that time watching HGTV may have some use to someone): it depends. Can mean 2full and one "half" bath. But also often when written this way means a less than 1/2 half bath, such as a basement toilet with a sink for the washer doubling as the bathroom sink. Hope this helps.
Maybe it's like computer terminology. You liked bathroom 2.0, you'll love 2.1.
