"You couldn’t have a starker contrast between the multiple layers of checks and balances [at ‘60 Minutes’] and a guy sitting in his living room in his pajamas writing.”
Well, you're right, it feels like a cheap shot, but the P-Boys at least make the gesture of setting up as typical and representative, rather than exceptional.
And given the quality of Democrat and media performance on the war, they have a point.
Right or wrong, this is just another example of the two sides talking past each other. Power Line claims liberal thinking has no depth, but all you have to do is go to the liberal blogs to discover liberals feel the same way about conservatives. Both sides may be in earnest, but it doesn't look like much more than name-calling to me.
I don't think you're quite being fair, LAGuy. THat's exactly what the P-Boys did, was go to the liberals (or mostly, the liberals came to them) and they analyzed the results. THe one thing PLine does well, frequently, is analysis. I think they'd be happy to analyze liberal arguments, if they were given, you know, arguments. (I have less confidence they'd do it fairly, but, hey, give 'em a chance.)
