Shouldn't that be "irregardless"?

Presidential scholar Stephen Hess of George Washington University said Clinton's ability to laugh indicated she was becoming more comfortable as a candidate.

Regardless of whether it is genuine, "It's terrific that you're able to laugh given what one goes through in a campaign," he said.

Regardless of its authenticity, it indicates she's comfortable as a candidate? Hmm. I don't think she's ever had a problem lying or posturing, but whatever. I guess him'z a prezedenshul skolar cuz him'z reel smart. (To be fair, though, I'd guess this is as much poor reporting and editing as it is, um, poor "scholarship".)
