I'm Out

I caught All In, a poker drama starring Dominique Swain. I've said that Rounders would have been a hit if it had just been released a few years later during the poker boom, but that doesn't mean any poker film will do.

All In has similarities to Rounders--this time it's a medical student rather than a law student who makes money playing poker--but it's laughably bad from start to finish. Rounders has flaws, but All In, which offers absurd melodrama at the card table and in the hospital, is an embarrassment.
