Powerhouse
Let's celebrate Raymond Scott, born exactly 100 years ago, the 20th century's best known unknown composer.
He wrote eccentric, instrumental jazz, some of which was adapted for Warner Brothers cartoons. His most recognizable work, "Powerhouse," was written in 1937. You may not know the name, but you know the tune. It's usually used as background for industrial imagery.
