Boston Mouthpieces

I'm not really a fan of Boston Legal. Haven't watched it in years. Except for Shatner's Denny Crane, I don't find it too interesting. (By the way, how many actors get to portray two deathless characters in their TV career?)

But I checked it out last week just to see if I was missing anything. Nope. Show-runner David E. Kelley's idea is to so vastly exaggerate everything that you can't take it seriously. When Kelley wrote for L.A. Law, the legal arguments were at least rational, if loaded in favor of the protagonists. In BL, they're more like extended, nonsensical, politicized rants that annoy more than they entertain.
