Vanity Plate Of The Month

On a BMW I saw "WORKNG." Now I know they can fit seven letters on the plate, so why only six here? Could they guy not spell "working" or was he cleverly saying WORK is No Good.

I saw another Beamer with "HAD 1." Had one what?

Then on a Toyota there was AKALUMA. (Note the seven letters.) Either this is some sort of Hawaiian phrase or this person has an alias. But what's her real name?
