Themes Like Old Times
One of my complaints about Battlestar Galactica is I've never liked its new-agey theme. They're trying too hard to be different.
Imagine how cool the show would be if it started like this:

Imagine how cool the show would be if it started like this:

The first show had a great theme, but I think it was plagiarized.
Listen to this (especially 2:11-2:20),
and then this (especially 1:00-1:13). There are extra notes added but the basic themes are the same, to my ears.
Of course, as a Yes fan, I always expect "Firebird Suite" to be followed by "Siberian Khatru"....

I heard that they borrowed part of the original theme as the calling music for the final five cylons.
