Time To Move Back
House prices are allegedly going down, but as far as I can see, in the general area where I live, costs are still through the roof. Even a small place in a so-so neighborhood can run you a quarter million.
That's why I was so impressed by this article that says in Detroit, my hometown, the median place sells for $7500. Heck, I can buy a house outright! I'd buy a car to drive back, but I can't afford it.

Do you think Detroit housing is a better bet than the stock market?
About the same
Is this a joke? How is a home sold for $7500 possible? Even mobile homes can't be that cheap.
I thought it was $18,000. But it has had me considering whether to go buy me a neighborhood.
