Jack Kemp

Jack Kemp has died. It's funny, last weekend I was at a party and we were discussing the best athlete/politicians. He was high on our list--a rare guy who was a top player in both worlds.

Kemp was one of the good guys. Some Republicans thought he was too centrist, but even they have to like how he, in the years before Ronald Reagan was elected, fought for serious tax reform, and eventually got it.
