Pixar Picks
Here's an interesting poll of favorite Pixar films:
1. Finding Nemo (2003) 18% of vote
2. Toy Story (1995) 16%
3. Monsters, Inc. (2001) 12%
4. The Incredibles (2004) 12%
5. WALL-E (2008) 9%
6. Cars (2006) 8%
7. Up (2009) 7%
8. Ratatouille (2007) 7%
9. Toy Story 2 (1999) 6%
10. A Bug's Life (1998) 5%
The winner isn't too surprising (though I don't agree with it), since Finding Nemo is still Pixar's biggest hit. And Toy Story, their first film, is still a pretty special work (I'd put it at #1) and is memorable for simply introducing Pixar features to the world.
I'd have put The Incredibles higher, and I'm surprised Cars is as high as it is. And I'm not sure if Up's ranking counts since many haven't seen it yet.

I'd put Finding Nemo at #1 because I'm a scuba diver and that movie is the only one I've ever seen that accurately captures the colors and feel of diving on a coral reef and a shipwreck. Live action films are always too dark. It's the one movie I recommend to people who ask what it's like to dive.
Cars is as high as it is on the strength of grateful parents of young boys who have that as their absolute, can't fail, way to stop their kids from bouncing off the walls and sit perfectly still for almost two hours.
