Beat Me To It
Here's a poll showing Scott Brown neck and neck with Barack Obama in a Presidential run-off. I was going to make a certain comment, but Instapundit got there first:
That’s ridiculous. A guy who’s barely even been elected to the Senate, going to the White House in just a couple of years without accumulating any real experience at the national level? Spare me the absurd speculation. Couldn’t happen.
It did start me thinking about the differences between Presidents over the past 40 years. The Republicans who got to the White House tended to have significant experience, either at high levels in our federal government, or as the chief executive in one of our largest states. Meanwhile, the Democrats seem to come out of nowhere, and what experience they had not seemingly worth that much at a national level.
Coincidence? I think so.

George Bush had a few years in a weak-governor state and a famous name.
He was well known as a highly successful whealer-dealer governor in a state that essentially considers itself its own country--a state as big as many actual nationa and with around 25 million people.
He beat a popular Dem governor for his first term and got amost 70% of the vote for the second. He worked with both parties to get a lot of legislation through.
Oh, yeah? Well he's just stinky! Stinky poo! Obama, Obama, he great, strong state senator state. And Hussein means they love us now.
Say, can I move my terrorist trial to your town?
Obama, at least, didn't open his mouth in his first national opportunity, and offer his daughters for marriage (or whatever). I'm guessing Scott Brown will wear thin real fast.
