The Film Everyone Loves Too Little

I recently watched The Man Who Knew Too Little, a 1997 Bill Murray comedy. The plot is pretty simple--he gets involved in a complex crime plot where he (and only he) thinks everyone is just play-acting.

Murray's most common comic persona is the smartass, but here he's pulls out his less common innocent who drives everyone else crazy, as seen in What About Bob?. I don't understand why both critics and the audience gave this film the back of their hand. It's one of my Bill Murray favorites.
