The Beat Goes On

And we can't let the day go by without a nod to birthday boy Fred Astaire.

Here's a song he made famous in Cole Porter's Gay Divorce (1932), his first starring effort without his sister, Adele.  When the movie came out in 1934, it was called The Gay Divorcee, and "Night And Day" was the only song kept from the show.  More important, Fred, somewhat unwillingly, had found a new partner.
