Bad Boy

Word is Spike Lee will direct the American remake of Oldboy.  The original, a Korean film from 2003 based on manga, is intense and violent. There's an fear that Hollywood, no matter who directs, will take out the most graphic stuff.

While I commend Lee for stretching, it doesn't really seem the sort of film he specializes in.  He can be intense in certain ways, but his speciality has never been action, not even after Inside Man.
