Phoning It In
Watching an old Breaking Bad there was an outgoing answering machine message with a phone number. But the closed captioning, instead of giving the proper exchange used on the machine, read "555." Did someone get to the captioner? What's the point? To prevent deaf people from calling the number?
By the way, AMC has been repeating three episodes a night for a week or so. This is to catch us up in time for the season four debut on Sunday. The shows all hold up, and it's not too late to get involved. The hardest part will be going back to one hour per week.
And (spoilers, I guess), it's been clear that the first thing that has to happen is the aftermath. Gus wanted Walt dead because he'd become a nuisance through helping Jesse. But now that Gale is dead (I don't believe Jesse missed) and Walt is the only one with the formula, he's too valuable to kill. So how does he leverage this, now that everyone has their cards on the table? And does Jesse have to keep running, or can he come out into the open again.
Also, it seems like Skyler is becoming a Lady Macbeth. Walt would just as soon keep her out of it all, but you have to wonder how far she'll try to insinuate herself into the action.
