Breaking News
Looking forward to new Breaking Bad this Sunday. Mad Men was the appetizer, this is the main course. The worst part is we only get eight episodes this year, and will have to wait till next year for the final eight.
I've been rewatching the previous seasons. They more than hold up. The show keeps getting darker as it goes along--not that it wasn't dark from the start, but there are moments early on when it almost seems like comedy, whereas in later seasons it's more like you get comic relief within a harsh landscape. The show sometimes has sideplots that aren't as interesting as the central story of Walt (with Jesse) in the drug world, but they're not bad and they never last too long in any case. What's interesting is the hardest parts to watch are not the ugliness and violence of the meth world, but all the unpleasant domestic scenes where husband and wife don't get along.
Believe it or not, I'm in Albuquerque today. If I had the time I'd go on a BB tour:
PS Of course, in LA, there's a famous film location on almost every block. For instance, just up the street is the Happy Days house.
