Fleeting Forever
The author of From Fleeting to Forever: A Guide to Enjoying and Preserving Your Digital Photos and Videos is worried that forever is, um, terminal.
I guess that's all good. I won't have to worry about whether my jpegs are forward compatible.

NEG (Google asks for my mobile phone number when I try to sign in and they seem upset when I enter a fake one and then my comment disappears)
The question in the future is whether or not Google will exist, because when it goes, everything disappears.
