Community Posting

A new year and already cause to celebrate.  Community returns in its fifth season with a full hour on NBC tonight. I'm guessing these next thirteen episodes will be the end of the show, so let's hope it goes out in the blaze a glory.

The scorecard this season:  Back--Dan Harmon, Gone--Chevy Chase.  I'm sorry CC is gone, but it's a fair trade. The heart of soul of the show is its creator, Harmon.  There are reports of plenty of guest stars, but the question is will some old guy, like Fred Willard, take a place at the table.  (They wouldn't dare put Chang there, would they?)

Unfortunately, Donald Glover, so good as Troy, will be MIA for over half this season's episodes.  The show won't be the same without him.  So if he wouldn't be returning anyway, perhaps it'll be just as well the show ends.

One question. Pierce Hawthorne and Troy Barnes sit on the same side of the table, and they've shared the same shot countless times.  Now, when looking from Jeff Winger's point of view, there'll be no one there much of the time.  Won't that lead to very different pacing?
