Games Of Thrones

Realizing their biggest hit, Game Of Thrones, will soon be ending, HBO is planning four potential follow-up series based on the world of Westeros (and Essos, presumably).

I don't know. I like the characters of Game Of Thrones, even like the setting, but I like, above all, that they're part of a large tapestry serving one story.  I don't particularly need to see other characters from other places and times once this story is ended. (I realize this is the kind of story that never truly ends--there's always a fight for the throne).

Maybe there will be some audience for these shows, but I don't know if I'd watch.  The idea should be the story they're showing me now is the most interesting one available in this world.  Why would I want second best?

PS  It appears that George R. R. Martin is helping to develop two of these series. Shouldn't he be busy finishing a novel (or two or three) first?

So per that map. Westeros looks like a reversed Great Britain. And Essos appears to be Europe minus everything beyond Germany's Western Front and Southern Border mashed into Russian Asia. Valeria could be Greece and Slavers Bay sports some sort of Persian Gulf/Red Sea look

Then how do you explain how Dorne is like Spain?

Continental Drift. Its environment is like Spain but cartographically it resembles a mirror image Cornwall
