Candyland
On the most wonderful day, here's an interactive map that shows the most popular Halloween candies in each state based on candystore.com online sales.
The state I was raised in, Michigan, likes candy corn best. Some consider this shameful, but I've got no problem with it. However, second and third are Skittles and Starburst. Is there really no place for chocolate?

I've never heard of candystore.com. But if they sell candy online, it's presumably delivered by mail or UPS, and sits in your mailbox (or on your doorstep) until you get home.
No sensible person would order chocolate from them -- because it would melt.
Besides, who the heck orders Halloween candy online?
If you buy your candy a week or more in advance, there's no need to do this. Almost everyone visits some kind of market at least once per week, so you can just buy your Halloween candy on your regular market trip.
And if you forgot, and it's now October 30, you can pay for overnight express from this place. But wait -- why do that? EVERY supermarket, 7-Eleven, shopping center, mall, supermall, strip mall, and mini-mall in the United States has at least one store that sells Halloween candy. And there's one near you.
Maybe there's some cabin in North Dakota that is more than fifteen minutes from a store that sells candy. But how many trick-or-treaters does that cabin get?
And perhaps that explains why candy corn is number one in several states. seriously, Candy corn?!?
There is now a green and white version of candy corn out there called "Witch Teeth" which if you look at the box quickly can look like "Witch Teat" which works too
