If It's Good Enough For Ovitz
Not sure if I get Ari's arc this season on Entourage. They're making a big deal about whether he'll sell out and become the head executive at a studio. How is this selling out? How is being a "suit" at a studio worse than being a wheeler-dealer agent? I'd guess most people would find it a step up.

Ron Meyer is much better example than Ovitz if your argument is that going from agent to studio head is a good thing. After Ovitz left Disney it was completely downhill to his current obsolescence.
True, and the show even namechecked Meyer. But the point about Ovitz is he was king of Hollywood as an agent, but still lept at the chance to run a studio.
