If Only We Were More Like Them

Not surprisingly, the EU is moving in a conservative direction in its recent elections (especially fiscally speaking). Too bad America is so out of step with the rest of the world.

PS The Expense scandal in Britain, though it affected their election, didn't get a lot of play in America. Too bad, since it's one of the more entertaining scandals.

PPS And let's cheer the result in Lebanon, where the voters rejected the Hezbollah coalistion (though the margin still isn't big enough). There are "realists" who will accept stability at any cost. Let's not forget that everywhere there are still people who yearn to breathe free.
