What If They Gave An Election...

With Gavin Newsom dropping out of the race for Governor of our fair state, the only big name still around is an old one--Jerry Brown. I think it would be cool if neither major party had any major names. Someone's gotta win, but why should name recognition count?

Maybe the reason for this "problem" is politicians realize California is such a mess that being in charge is not worth it. Serious reform is probably necessary, and not only will it be painful, but you probably can't do it, since if you try, powerful groups will destroy you.
