In John Lahr's New Yorker profile of Elia Kazan, we get this: "Marlon Brando, James Dean, Warren Beatty, and Lee Remick all made their screen débuts in Kazan’s films..."

Though Brando and Kazan will be forever linked, the actor made his film debut in The Men, directed by Fred Zinneman.
