World Series Possibilities
There are 3 American League and 4 National League teams still eligible for the World Series (sorry Tampa) which means there are still 12 different matchup possibilities that break down as follows
Great Lakes Series
Milwaukee- Detroit
Cowboy Series
Arizona-Texas
East Coast (Battle of the Payroll Superpowers) Series
Philadelphia-New York
Traditionalist Series
St Louis- Detroit
St Louis-New York
New Traditionalist Series
Philadelphia-Detroit
(maybe LA Guy can weigh in as a Tiger fan but I don't think these two grand old teams have much of a history with each other)
Replay 2001 Series
Arizona-New York
The Other Five For Which I Couldn't Find a Hook
Philadelphia-Texas
St. Louis-Texas
Arizona- Detroit
Milwaukee-New York
Milwaukee-Texas
The possibilities [barring rain] should be down to four by tomorrow night. I'm hoping for anything without NY or Philly but no real preference (the games will be late whether or not AZ is in or not, right?).
Feel free to pick a likely matchup. The winning pick will be roundly ignored

Its been suggested that Milwaukee-New York be the David & Goliath Series. Sorry- Prince Fielder looks too much like Goliath.
Small Market-Big Market Series doesn't quite have any panache either
looking like detroit/arizona to me as gibby and trammell come home...
Milwaukee Texas--barbecue or beer?
Well, you can dump all those Yankees' titles and start worrying about coming up with a good one for the Tigers. I guess the most classic would be against St. Louis, but any team will do.
Me, I kind of like the Great Lakes Series. Of course, then the ratings will tank...
OK we are down to 9 possibilities after the Yankees choke job. (yes nowhere near as bad as the red Sox September choke but a choke nonetheless)
Great Lakes
Cowboy
Traditional #1
New Traditionalist
Cheesesteak v. BBQ
Midwest v Old West
Prodigal Son
Beer v. BBQ (aka Bratwurst v. Worst Brats)
Tonight it will down to 4 possibilities
