The Dream Is Over
The real Michigan Wolverines finally showed up in a bitter loss to MSU. They had just about no offense until the last five minutes of the fourth quarter. Somehow, without much defense, they were only behind 20-6, and they miraculously scored two touchdowns, one with 4:03 to go, one with 2 seconds to go.
It looked like another amazing comeback, but they blew it with an interception in overtime.
You can't blame Forcier, who had to scramble the whole game, and was able to pull out a few great plays at the end though he was running on empty. Sure, he finally blew it, but just staying in the game without much of an offensive line was something.
I'd say, though, it was more a loss through bad defense, one that didn't seem to be able to hold MSU no matter how long it was on third. (Lotta penalties called on MSU.)
The dream season is over, but we knew it was a dream before the game started.
