I thought maybe they'd turned a corner this year, but after Michigan's loss to Purdue (!) in Ann Arbor (!!) yesterday, I realize they're no better than they were last season.
Here's an article sent by a friend and fan about the Wolverine's "mystifying" lack of success. It does seem that less and less people are mystified by the person responsible for it. If he doesn't turn things around soon, I'm not sure how much longer he's got.

The problem is they have gotten worse as the season has gone on. This does not predict a good year next year. Time to go, Rod.

Sad to say- this was obvious when he was hired- look at the mess he left in WVA
Considering that last year the squad was 3-9, this year is already a success. People got carried away because of the 4-0 start and opted to ignore last year and the fact that their two best quarterbacks are freshmen and it is doubtful that either will play on Sundays. Next year will be Rich's last shot as he has a true NFL quarterback coming in from Inkster (Forcier may transfer after this year like McGuffie remember him? he was going to be the greatest running back in the history of college football! did!). 5-7 is an improvement and 6-6 would be remarkable even in a weak Big10.

This year a success? Just before the Penn State game, when they were 5-2, and those 2 were close, it looked that way. Since then they've collapsed and look like they may lose their last two games. 5-7 with only 1 win in the Big Ten is not an improvement.
