No, it's funny like P.J. O'Rourke IS funny. Dave Barry was never that funny.
PJ wrote the best political handbook in several decades with Parliament of Whores and has lots of good writings, but he has lots of mediocre writings too. This is pretty good.
Dave Barry is like a lot of cliches- at the time you first hear it, it seems fresh and new at the time but through repetition and formula grows stale.
PJ is best when you can't tell his politics (that's probably true of most humor writers)
