Write 'Em Off
As far as I'm concerned, the Michigan football season is over. The only question is will they end above .500.
It was one of the worst losses I've ever seen. After leading 14-3 in the first quarter, the Wolverines fell apart. What followed was 42 unanswered Illinois points.
The Michigan offense wasn't much, but the special teams were worse and the defense was hopeless.
Coach Rodriguez has to figure this year is over, and all he can do is get them ready for next season. They still make too many mistakes, have too many holes, and can't be counted on for big plays.

Just relax over there. Changing over to a spread offense from what Carr did with them in the past could not happen overnight, no matter how much talent is on the team. Also, the schedule gets easier as other than PennState and OhioState, the rest of the Little10 sucks.
And their opponent in game one "just Utah" is, as I told you back then, much better than most arogant U-M fans still refuse to recognize. Their worst performance was the loss to Notre Dame. Illinois is an offensive juggernaut.
And MSU is a phony. They'll go 4-4 in the Little10...

Rodriguez was run out of WVU (which has its own problems) on a rail. Good luck-next coaching search- winter of 09-10
No matter how much talent is on the team? There is no talent on the team. Half of the team are freshmen, and the offensive line especially is missing most of the best players.
